Last weekend in Barcelona

This is the last weekend in Barcelona....

On Friday, I went for a muscial show but is in spanish.

Of course, I don't understand most of it but I just want to experience it....

Then on Saturday, my friend hosted a dinner at her place, was nice to eat some home-cooked malay food. Since I am in Spain, the dinner started at almost 11pm and ended at 1am. Followed by partying at a local club till almost 6am. I am sooooo tired by then.

Sunday was easy because I head to work. Damn lot of things to clear...but I knocked off at 6pm so that I can spent 2 hours cycling around Barcelona.

Was nice and relax.

I cannot believe that I have been here for 7 weeks. Now it's seen to be pretty fast.

I am not sure if I face the real world when back to Singapore

I am worried and in fact a little scard but I know that I have to face it afterall. Keeping my fingers crossed.

1st mountain cycling - Almost died

Wow... I am so proud of myself. I cycled uphill and downhill in Barcelona.

Uphill was very very tiring but I made it.

I thought going downhill will be easy but I was very wrong....because it was so steep and rocky! Not the usual route you see in Pulau Ubin. Got to be 10x more.

My destination is the church up there.... Look as if it is very close? But the route up is tough!....Really tough when you cycled up!!!

La Merce firework

Last night, I had watched the longest firework in my life. It's lasted 20min....and was set by the beach side (barceloneta).
Super romantic... hahaha...
Also, I cycled there.... First time cycling in barcelona...wow...

Cycling

My spanish co-worker has lent me his daughter bicycle....

I think on Sunday, I will use it to cycle around Barcelona.

Was suppose to do it with a group of friends but they have a change of plan.

Today, in train; a spanish teenage couple was doing the "french-kissing" infront of me.

Here, people just express their passion and love very openly.

Maybe it's a good thing?

I had just moved to a new apartment yesterday. The place is new and bigger than the previous. But the cons is that there is no supermarket nearby.

Oh, I went to Madrid over the weekend..

The crowd is slightly different from Barcelona.

Here is one of the typical Madrid dish - spicy stew of stomach, sausage, fat, vein, etc.

Mum miss me

I had just returned from a 4days trip around Spain - Bilbao , Burgos and Madrid. The trip was really good; I got to broaden my "limited" knowledge and it has change my way of interpreting and seeing things now.

Oh, an amazing thing happened today.
During lunch, I was commenting to my co-worker that I should call home today... Since I haven't called home since I am here....
2 hours later, my brother text - "Mum miss you..."
Sometimes, I feel that mum and I have a special connection....just like today. I sensed that she is missing me. Also, there are occasions when I had urge to eat certain food; she will cooked it that night ;-)

Mmm... now, I felt guilty for not calling home earlier. Oops...
And maybe I had made her even more worried since I am sick :-(

Disappointed

I had made an early return from Andorra.

It was raining on Saturday, therefore Sunday was not suitable for trekking.

End up, hanging around the small town.

Saturday's Lunch and Dinner were excellent so we settled for MacDonald on Sunday.

Head back to Barcelona before destinated departure time as there was nothing else to do.

Beside, I was really tired as I didn't get to sleep well. Noise from the street and snoring....kept me awake all night :-(

Also, I had witnessed a happy occasion on Saturday - Wedding... Bride and Groom patrolling down the main street with >40 cars behind them.....

However, on Sunday, I witnessed another event - funeral. Also they drove down the main street....

This is life. Start of new life which will end eventually, somehow.

Another weekend trip

Today, I am heading to Andorra (a small country in between Spain and France).
2 years ago, I had been there and loved the place.
However, this trip seem to be more expensive than past.
Inflation too??
OK, I am keeping my fingers crossed that things will work out fine.... because I am going with someone (co-worker) that I do not know that well. Ooops... ;-)

Had a dream last night. Dreamt of my M1 friends...Hope everyone is fine...
I am looking forward to the weekend so that I dont have to work... :D

Where is Home?

Over the weekend, I went tekking with friends, at the mountain - Espot
The whole journey took >10hrs and I came back with a sore butt; not sore leg. And no, I didn't fell on my butt.
Overall, It was an excellent experience...

For the 1st time in my life, I had the feeling of going home while oversea. Usually, I am very glad to be away.....But this time, I just wish to go home and see/hug Racer.

I meant people here are nice and we went on trips....but my mood is not right.

Two weekend ago, I went to a church - the 1st church that was built by the famous Gaudi.....

And, for the 1st time in life... I was talking... talking to myself in a "holy" place...but some may say it was "God" talking to me.

I did indeed felt some direction when I came out but I am still lost now.

What the heck is happening to me? The brain is not functioning well. Where have all the engineering cells went to?
