Yesterday was my last day of work.
It wasn't any easy.
I went to the lab, looking at all the machines and equipment... I started them years ago and now.... haiz.
Walking out of office was the toughest. We cried but I will take the friendship with me.
Take care, my friends.

Counting down
I am counting down to the "day".
I am so nervous, I might not know what will the response be?
I have to start thinking of good way to "excuse" myself.
Anyway, I am focusing on the important stuff and hope to get it done by tomorrow.
No need to sleep tonight liao.

Good movie
Finally, it rained.
The past week was HOT! Glad that it rain now.
I had watched the show "The curious case of benjamin button".
It was a touching show - reflects on friendship, love, war, etc.
I cried... oops...
I hope, I wish, I could have a new start soon.
May my wish be granted.

Pay Cut
Global recession is affecting my life now.
My company is going to have pay cut - for everyone.
I just hope that with pay cut, there will be no retrenchment.
This way, everyone get to take home some bread.
Maybe is the recession - every family is seeking cheaper option of having a family outing.
Here's the botanic garden.... cheap way of chilling out...pack your own sandwich and lie by the grass... and read a book...
hehehee... me getting more auntie... like the quiet and relax lifestyle. (oops..)
What to do when I am "ban" from alcohol... at least for the next 1 mth. haiz...

Sun rays
Darn... I am down with gastric problem.
I think is because I had "over-eat". I have to remind myself not to be greedy about food.
Plus, my body is not longer "young", therefore it cannot take all the garbage that I had been eating.
Anyway, today...the gastric pain was so bad that the "usual" medication that I took is no longer effective.
So, I knocked off earlier to see a doctor.
Glad that I am making improvement by evening.
On the way back, we passed by the Mandai.... and I managed to capture these beautiful sights.
It was something which I never noticed in the past.
Anyway, recently; I think I have started to see the positive and beautiful side of ugly things. Like what a friend said..."without the ugly/bad side; how would you know how to appreciate the beautiful/good side".
Indeed that wisdom comes with age... he is an uncle :p
This reminds me that I need an break at some resorts soon...

The sun rays - shine a bright path and future for everyone

Good food at Jumbo
Recently, I had a feast at Jumbo riverside.
Have anyone tried the steam crab? You should....
It tasted so much better than the chili’s....
Also, the cereal prawns was excellent as well.... very crispy and fresh.
Definitely will go back for more...
However, it recommended going in a group as you get to taste more varieties.
We paid ~400 for a group of 7. But... food was really good :)
Yummy…

News...
I guessed everyone must have ever received news that shakes them.
People are always affected by news in every way.
It can be sad, happy, surprise, nervous, anxious, excited, thrilled, etc.
Every day, there will be new news; and how one accepts the news will have to depend on individually.
Stay tune for my news.

Leave for good?
Another good friend is leaving.... Not sure when will I see her again.
She is always so nice and being a "big" sister to me.
I am sad to see her leave but leaving is for her own good...especially when happiness is awaiting for her. I wish her the very best.
Oh, I cannot believe how difficult it is to find a black crystal... mmmm....

Turf club
Ok, here're another 2 plus points that make me feel that SGP is no longer that boring...
Today, I went to the turf club for the very first time.
Impression? Many uncles are crazy over horse racing.... shouting and cheering for their bet.
It was an interesting experience....the gamble itself is fun and unpredictable.
A newbie like me, is so bad at predicting the horses.... :P
But was a fun try and interesting to see that the gamble could change so fast in the last 50m race.
hehee.... we also saw uncles bringing their girlfriend there... mmm...
Oh... my friend brought me to another really cool place.
An isolated café located @ seletar. wow..... It is like a heavenly cafe; far away from the city and noise pollution.
Man... I wish I can spend a nice afternoon there - drinking and reading a book; under the big tree....Got to go back there again.....
PS: I was a bit surprised when I saw quite a few expats there... how did they know about the place? I didn't even know about it...or maybe I am too "out-dated".

One of the best steak in town
Oooooo...finally found a nice place with GOOD steak.
If you loves steak (like me), try to go to the Saddle Club.
They serve really good Wayne steak.. The thought of it now - make me drool again.
Price is~$55, definately cheaper than Morton's / Black Angus.

Urge...(plenty)
I think my next jewellary collection is black cystal ring...
Not sure why I have a very very strong urge that I want to own a black crystal ring (not other black ring.... must be crystal)
I believe it is going to be cool.
However, it is not an easy search - I went to 3 mall and found none :-(
Another urge.... feel like eating sakae yu sheng now....
Oh no... I kept thinking of food - ice cream, bak gwa, jamon, roast pork, sashimi etc...
Equation:
New year = eat alot more junks = gain weight = more gym session (hopefully)

Who say Science Centre is for kids only?
I went to the science centre/Omni yesterday.
It reminded me of the school days where we made our excursion there.
The science centre never failed to amaze me with all the interesting stuffs.
Except that the magic show is a bit lame...maybe it is only for the kids?
The Omni theater is STILL the same - no major changes from my last visit (>15 yrs ago?)
They currently have 2 shows - The Alphs and Wild Ocean.
I preferred the Alps.... the scenery is excellent and it just bring me back to the Spain days… memories…
As for the Wild Ocean??? Mmm.. I think the title should be Fishing for sardines.... :-(
Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the visit.... Now, I finally find that Singapore is a little more exciting than I knew.
I just have to explore more into the "weird and isolated" areas...
What's next on my list??? Star gazing at science centre and maybe the race course.
Maybe it is the age thing – I don’t enjoy going to the Orchard anymore.
I went there on last Friday… indeed you can find plenty of young trendy pretty mei mei around but still, it is too crowded and noisy for me.
I think I prefer more lay-back places such as Botanic garden café, Saddle Club, Ubin, Brewkez at bukit timah, etc. oops...
