Recently, I received an enlightenment from a co-worker.
I was constantly pissed off with the "not up to standard" of some people (many are the high level staffs) in the current company.
I am definitely not the best performer but I care about the well fair of the company and understand my decision and performance affect the company growth in a way of its own. I work and be responsible of my area.
However, there are a couple of workers that receive high pay and did not deliver their tasks. Why do company need these people?
Reason: when come to the annual ranking; there got to have people at the bottom of the chart. Without these "low level" people, the worthy people will be demoralize if they were ranked below and not receive the bonus.
Can you imagine if you were rank among the best; you will be at the bottom - Not nice! It's a world of survivor wins.
Therefore, there are some managers that employ these "low level" people for this purpose; this will guard the good and worthy staffs.
Of course, thing is different if the organization is corrupted; still, we need the good and bad people.
Like we need different level of skills which translate to pay scale different.
Like we need the food chain where the weak got killed so that the strong can continue the chain.
