Western food @ kopi tiam

I realised that serving western food in coffee shop is kind of the "IN" food. I spot them almost everywhere including the ones near my U-lu home.
Tried this at Jurong East - not bad but was price slightly above average.
It's $9.80

Verdict - average, was expecting more vinegar since this what they are famous for.

What is in the freezer?

Thanks goodness that the "sim failure" is due to the sim card.
After replacement, it works.
And I must say I was impressed with m1 service - they deliver a new sim card to my place on the day that I called them.
Still, not impress with iPhone yet - battery draining problem and echo when making call.
I had upgraded from OS 5 to 5.1 - still the battery life is bad!
This phone performing worse than what was spec - 200hrs standby !!!! Gosh
Wonder if they will get sue for not misleading consumers.

Anyway, what I really want to blog is ...... Look what I got in my freezer :D

iPhone 4S - oops,I bought it.

Bought my first iPhone.
Not sure if I am lucky or what, I got 1 with " sim failure ".
Just got M1 to replace my sim for free and I am going to test it tonight.
Wish me luck ;)

Also, I have become those iPhone commuters that do nothing but play with their phone while in train.
Look around me and almost 50% are iPhone users.
How does the rest of the mobile phone makers survive ?

Poor performer needed

Recently, I received an enlightenment from a co-worker.
I was constantly pissed off with the "not up to standard" of some people (many are the high level staffs) in the current company.
I am definitely not the best performer but I care about the well fair of the company and understand my decision and performance affect the company growth in a way of its own. I work and be responsible of my area.
However, there are a couple of workers that receive high pay and did not deliver their tasks. Why do company need these people?

Reason: when come to the annual ranking; there got to have people at the bottom of the chart. Without these "low level" people, the worthy people will be demoralize if they were ranked below and not receive the bonus.
Can you imagine if you were rank among the best; you will be at the bottom - Not nice! It's a world of survivor wins.
Therefore, there are some managers that employ these "low level" people for this purpose; this will guard the good and worthy staffs.

Of course, thing is different if the organization is corrupted; still, we need the good and bad people.
Like we need different level of skills which translate to pay scale different.
Like we need the food chain where the weak got killed so that the strong can continue the chain.

Make sense?

Reason why I need to Work -> Salary -> Travel -> Pleasure and Food -> Friends -> HAPPINESS!

Bad service

Am I getting paranoid? I wish I can go home. At least I got bad service but not these rock bottom service.

The cars refused to give way to pedestrians.
People refused to queue to get their food
The shop owner ignore your order even you are in the first in the queue.
So, I walked off without getting my lunch..
I have been thinking - why?
Was it my attire? or Was the shop busy?

The day before, I head to the mall after work to get some gift and the service was great.
Today, I head to the mall with a simple tee and dress down day. I receive no attention at all.
Man!

Sweet tooth

Was at Chinatown over the weekend and found that it has been reform.
It is no longer the Chinatown that is in my memories; not sure if that is a good thing.
Anyway, the desert does look attractive but taste was average.

What's life?

I have been pretty busy these day.
What the hell am I doing?
It was holidaying initially, then its work, then its the renovation and furnishing, then its attending wedding (3 in the month of October).

Gosh, I need a break.
