It's the TIGER year!
Head out to the chinatown last night. It was super packed so we tried to avoid the crowded alley.
Quite a number of stores just do "lay-long", screaming at the mic: " Chopsticks ONE dollar, ONE dollar, ONE dollar..., ONE DOLLAR ahhh!!! HUAT AH"!!!.....
Man, I wonder how he will able to use his voice tomorrow.
Stepping in the New Year, beside my personal interest and affairs; I like to see how the SGP gov handle the followings:
1. The famous Romanian hit and run. I think the guy make a huge mistake by accusing the sgp gov set him up.
This time, the sgp gov will for sure nail him down - it is an issue of "face" liao. haha...
2. How they tackle the increasing house price. Not insisting that I am dependent on them on every single thing. But the basics needs such as housing, they should monitor and act closely; else why are we paying them with our tax? Besides, HDB was created years back and the objective is to provide affordable flats for the citizens. Where is this objective now? Unless they declared this is no longer true.
Definitely, there is an increase in richer class now, but the low and middle classes should NEVER be ignored.
3. The increasing population due to immigrants. This may or not be the whole story but look at our transportation, security and cleanliness. Of course, they are more issues that make me sick even by thinking of it, and I do not want to mention them now.
I agreed we need immigrants but the authority should check the background!!!
If nothing is done, one day... one day... birth rate of singaporean will be even lower... mature singaporean will leave.
I like to make this place home, but will this happen?
