The management has just decided to move us from a service apartment to rented apartment. This is suppose to be a nice thing like in Sydney . Damn wrong !!!

I am spilt in to the dilemma of above and human .

In the scientific world, above are known as mental breakdown that cause one to have illusion.
If so, can things be as easy as sending me to the mental institute ?

It is not as easy as drawing a line as one believe may not be to another.

How can people come to an agreement. How can one make accommodation. How can one learn to trust.

I am not a believer where things can be the same. Either it can grows stronger or weaker. It apply to everything...

Failed mission to do cupcakes

Been a long time since I baked.
Tried today but failed badly.

One main reason was that the cupcake cases was too soft to have a proper hold of the weight.
Second was that I add too much milk to the icy.
But I think the cake texture was ok.

I will try again next time....

Western food @ kopi tiam

I realised that serving western food in coffee shop is kind of the "IN" food. I spot them almost everywhere including the ones near my U-lu home.
Tried this at Jurong East - not bad but was price slightly above average.
It's $9.80

Minced meat noddles

Verdict - average, was expecting more vinegar since this what they are famous for.

Thanks goodness that the "sim failure" is due to the sim card.
After replacement, it works.
And I must say I was impressed with m1 service - they deliver a new sim card to my place on the day that I called them.
Still, not impress with iPhone yet - battery draining problem and echo when making call.
I had upgraded from OS 5 to 5.1 - still the battery life is bad!
This phone performing worse than what was spec - 200hrs standby !!!! Gosh
Wonder if they will get sue for not misleading consumers.

Anyway, what I really want to blog is ...... Look what I got in my freezer :D

iPhone 4S - oops,I bought it.

Bought my first iPhone.
Not sure if I am lucky or what, I got 1 with " sim failure ".
Just got M1 to replace my sim for free and I am going to test it tonight.
Wish me luck ;)

Also, I have become those iPhone commuters that do nothing but play with their phone while in train.
Look around me and almost 50% are iPhone users.

Poor performer needed

Recently, I received an enlightenment from a co-worker.
I was constantly pissed off with the "not up to standard" of some people (many are the high level staffs) in the current company.
I am definitely not the best performer but I care about the well fair of the company and understand my decision and performance affect the company growth in a way of its own. I work and be responsible of my area.
However, there are a couple of workers that receive high pay and did not deliver their tasks. Why do company need these people?

Reason: when come to the annual ranking; there got to have people at the bottom of the chart. Without these "low level" people, the worthy people will be demoralize if they were ranked below and not receive the bonus.
Can you imagine if you were rank among the best; you will be at the bottom - Not nice! It's a world of survivor wins.
Therefore, there are some managers that employ these "low level" people for this purpose; this will guard the good and worthy staffs.

Of course, thing is different if the organization is corrupted; still, we need the good and bad people.
Like we need different level of skills which translate to pay scale different.
Like we need the food chain where the weak got killed so that the strong can continue the chain.

Make sense?

Reason why I need to Work -> Salary -> Travel -> Pleasure and Food -> Friends -> HAPPINESS!

Bad service

Am I getting paranoid? I wish I can go home. At least I got bad service but not these rock bottom service.

The cars refused to give way to pedestrians.
People refused to queue to get their food
The shop owner ignore your order even you are in the first in the queue.
So, I walked off without getting my lunch..
I have been thinking - why?
Was it my attire? or Was the shop busy?

The day before, I head to the mall after work to get some gift and the service was great.
Today, I head to the mall with a simple tee and dress down day. I receive no attention at all.
Man!

Was at Chinatown over the weekend and found that it has been reform.
It is no longer the Chinatown that is in my memories; not sure if that is a good thing.
Anyway, the desert does look attractive but taste was average.

Witness an act of generosity at the spa:
A Tai-Tai just whip 5 bucks to the server that serve us tea while we are waiting for our turn to get facial done.
It was never across my mind that someone will do that - especially in a Spa. (OK, maybe not in SGP. I do tip when I did my massage in Thailand).
Do you tip the auntie in the spa? Tell me...

Now, I know that the spa that I had newly frequent is a 'high class' place.
No wonder the usual facial is start from a whopper $200.

Lucky that I have an old package that is still valid.
BUT, I really don't like the facial - no much help to me.
Maybe it's time to look for my previous beautician.

I was suppose to be in the plane now! Starting my holiday but here's the news that cancel my holiday plan to New York.

Accept and yet complain

Over the weekend, I had lunch with a kid that complain the dish tasted bad, yet he further commented that he will still eat it. This made me wonder why people will still act/do things despite the ugly fact that they dislike it.

I realized that I am slowly transform into one of these types. I hate it but still accept it; in another term, it’s “L L”. A time bomb ticking – wonder why do I have to do that? Is it worth it?

Good thing that my holiday is near but I am so beat up to plan anything. Haiz, I am so stressed over work and now the stress was transferred over to holiday budgeting and planning. This is the exact kind of situation where I prefer to pay and relax; but $$$$ is a BIG roadblock.

Maybe, I shouldn’t have purchase that big ticket. And maybe, I should have join a group tour and lead stress-free days. I am such an Idiot to chose what “self drive”. Serve me right! Now I am stuck in finding accommodation, plan the route, where to visit, fuel stop, parking cost, traffic condition, safety, itinerary and plenty more. Feel like cancelling my trip and lock myself in room. SLEEP and Peace are all I need now.

Scholl Foot Mask

Tried a new mask - Scholl Foot Mask (cost about ~$10)
I don't like the feeling of soaking my feet in a pool of water, wrapped in plastic.
Keep the feet in the "mask" for 30mins and yield so-so result.
I still prefer the Scholl foot cream which can lasts much longer at the same price.

Back to school

I lost it - the basic of statistics, sampling plan, etc.
A co-worker need to run through it with me. Second time in fact.
Felt I am losing my memory and its capacity. Gosh

I need these!

For the very first time in my life; I need to use these body plasters.
It's for body aching.

I see these plasters as significance to aging. And here I am, using them..
On a second thought, it may be time to use them since I have live half of a life.

What will the other half of my life be? What other tools will I need?
Hehee…At 50, men may need Viagra, what about women? Gosh! Need to plan ahead? haha

Insomia

Serious problem - I actually can't get to sleep for the entire night.
I am now a walking zombie as I have been awake for 25hrs and is still counting.
What's wrong? Sob sob.

The moment when I shut my eyes, all kinds of work related stuff appears.
I think I am under enormous stress?
I really don't want this. Help.... this is driving me crazy and I know I am going to break down very soon.

Gone are the smiles

Been long long time that I find job satisfaction?
Gone are the days where I could work 12 hrs per day but still feel happy about it.
Gone are the days where I could happily discussing work with co-workers (of all levels)
Gone are the days where you can find me smiling at work.
Gone are the days where I never able to bring myself to curse and swear at someone.
Gone are the days where I could feel I love my job.

I know that I have to act on it, instead of complaining here.
But because my team just lose a strong player and I don't want to disappoint the other members who I enjoyed working with.
I have given this nightmare till end of the year. And they have been informed.

Time to move on and place my happiness as priority.

Great co-worker

Today, my co-worker announced that he's leaving the company.
It a loss to the company as he is a great and smart guy.
It is so hard to meet someone that you can work with and there is plenty to learn from him.
Nevertheless, I respect his decision and wish him the best.
What's next for me? I don't know yet.

Fate

I used to be so ' single '. I enjoyed dating and courtship but was never in mode to be tie down.
Long ago, there was a guy that likes me but i wasn't ready for big R. However when i feel like giving it a shot, he didn't want to.
Wonder is this the thing where what you can't get is the best.

So what you met someone that you like and enjoy the company, you are fortunate.
And, if you are fortunate and lucky, the other will like u as well.
But if you will be happy when u meet one that love u and share the same path.
